Clear Skies Texas Recognized as 501(c)(3)

Clear Skies Texas (CST) has offi­cial­ly received its non­prof­it des­ig­na­tion from the Inter­nal Rev­enue Ser­vice. As of Jan­u­ary, 2021, all dona­tions are also tax-deductible.

“We are excit­ed to be rec­og­nized as an offi­cial non­prof­it and ready to get to work in Texas and for Tex­ans,” said CST Board Chair Julie Moore. “Clear Skies Texas is work­ing to secure Tex­as­’s role as an ener­gy leader and pro­vide a clean, safe envi­ron­ment for future generations.”

Polling shows that the need to address cli­mate chal­lenges is not a one par­ty issue. In par­tic­u­lar, con­ser­v­a­tive women and younger con­ser­v­a­tives care about this issue and want to see action from our state and fed­er­al lead­ers. CST will work to fill a gap in this area by pro­vid­ing resources, edu­ca­tion and lead­er­ship on cli­mate change and its impact on our state to this demo­graph­ic, as well as all inter­est­ed Texans.
